A contractor is scheduled to perform repairs to stormwater pipes located on Wright Parkway between Hollywood Boulevard and the entrance to the Fort Walton Beach High School football stadium.
The work is expected to begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed sometime Thursday, July 10, 2025. All work is weather-dependent and may need to be rescheduled in the event of rain, as the work involves the pipes that carry stormwater away.
The contractor will inject specially designed sealant compounds into the ground around the storm pipe, which seal cracks and fill voids in the piping, thus eliminating the infiltration of groundwater into the stormwater system.
Motorists will see temporary traffic control devices, possibly flaggers, and experience limited lane closures (middle turn lane) during construction. Current plans do not require a full road closure and both northbound and southbound lanes will be accessible during construction.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and urge you to be cautious when traveling this section of Wright Parkway as we work to make these important repairs to our stormwater infrastructure.
