ATTENTION: LANE CLOSURE ON MEMORIAL PARKWAY
Beginning around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, a contractor for the City of Fort Walton Beach will be making an emergency storm drain repair at the intersection of Memorial Parkway NW and Shumpert Street NW (see attached map).
During this time, the northbound lane of Memorial Parkway NW will be closed from Cecelia Dr NW to Hemlock Dr NW. Motorists traveling northbound on Memorial Parkway in this area will be required to take a detour route on Cecelia Dr NW and Hemlock Dr NW.
The southbound lane should not be affected, but motorists traveling south are asked to use extreme caution. Work is expected to last approximately 8 hours.
**Please note: this work is weather dependent and may need to be rescheduled. We will update this post if that becomes necessary.
