Recreation Center to host AARP Smart Driver Course

The Fort Walton Beach Recreation Center will be hosting an AARP Smart Driver Course from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026.

The AARP Smart Driver Course is designed especially for drivers aged 60 and older. Completing the course could make you eligible for a multi-year discount on your auto insurance, and you’ll learn proven driving techniques to help keep you and your loved ones safe on the road.

The cost of the course is $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members. Class size is limited to 30 first-time students, so reserve your spot today.

Please bring cash or check for fees and a sweater or light jacket. We’ll have a lunch break, so please bring a sack lunch and any snacks you will need. We’ll be providing coffee, tea and water.
