Home of the only Professional Sporting Event in Okaloosa County, Women’s $25,000 Challenger. The Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center includes 12 championship hard courts, four 3-wall outdoor racquetball courts and a clubhouse with showers, lockers and a fully stocked Pro Shop. The Center offers several different activities for the community. These include tennis tournaments, leagues five days a week, USTA sanctioned events (tournaments, free-for-all days, leagues), Tennis Center women’s tennis teams who participate in NW Florida Tennis Association league; individual/group lessons for both adults and children with certified tennis professionals (USPTA), and seasonal drill groups for juniors. Local area high schools and middle schools play matches and tournaments at the facility and various groups rent the facility for tournaments and special events. The Tennis Center is open 7 days a week throughout the year. The Tennis Center is operated by a private contractor with the City providing the maintenance requirements.
