Our Mission
- The City of Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park & Cultural Center is an educational and cultural institution of long standing traditions. The mission is to preserve, interpret and present the prehistory and history of the Fort Walton Beach community and Northwest Florida from 12,000 B.C. through the 1950's to students, citizens and visitors through exhibits, educational programs, publications and special events.

Hometown History Saturdays: First Saturday of each month, the HPCC especially welcomes locals. Visitors who bring in a driver's license with a Fort Walton Beach address will receive reduced admission rates of $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Group Tours/Rates: We love having school aged and adult groups visit our museums. Here are the details you need to know:
- A group is defined as 12 paying visitors. Since teachers and bus drivers are always free, you must have 12 people paying admission in order to qualify for the group rate.
- A group must contact the museum a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of their requested date. We will send you a confirmation email.
- The Indian Temple Mound Museum and Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum are available for group tours.
- The cost for group tours is $2 per person per facility + tax ($2.12). If you are tax exempt, you must provide a copy of your certificate. We will provide you an invoice. Group members must pay their admission in one transaction..
- Group tours are generally done outside of the Museum's regular operating hours.

Passport Services
Heritage Park and Cultural Center is a designated passport acceptance facility. Heritage Park has certified Acceptance Agents on staff ready to assist you with your questions and needs. Whether you are renewing your passport or obtaining one for the first time, experienced staff at Heritage Park will guide you through the process with ease.
Location
The acceptance facility is inside the Indian Temple Mound Museum. Walk into the main entrance to the building and ask the staff member up front about our passport services.
Hours
Heritage Park and Cultural Center's Acceptance Agents are available by appointment only Monday-Friday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Call (850) 855-9595 to schedule an appointment.

About Library Collection
Located within the Indian Temple Mound Museum, the research library contains over 1400 books and magazines, 33 videos, and archives waiting to help you with research and general information. Staff and volunteers are in the process of cataloguing entire collection electronically to better suit researchers' needs.
Hours and Use
The research library is open during normal museum operating hours and is a non-lending library. Library may be off limits during events or when staff is limited. A copy machine is available for use ($0.10 per copy).
