About the Department:
The Human Resources Department provides innovative services for City employees and the public. Responsibilities include policy review and development, employment & retention, compensation & classification, benefits management, employee/labor relations, employee development, and risk management.

As an inter-governmental service department, the Human Resources Department is dedicated to providing effective personnel services through the development, implementation, and equitable administration of policies and procedures. Our continuing goal is to recruit qualified personnel; maintain a well-trained work force; and foster productivity, innovation, and a climate of success in the workplace.
