5. Approval of the minutes of the Special Council Meeting of February 10, 2009 and the Regular Council Meeting of February 10, 2009. (City Clerk) (See Backup)

Consideration of Resolution (2009-06) of the City of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, accepting funding through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for enhanced training center; authorizing the Mayor to execute the Certification of Acceptance; authorizing the Police Chief to oversee the project; authorizing a budget amendment; and setting an effective date. (Police Chief) (See Backup) Synopsis: The funds ($2,681) will be used to provide additional audio/video training materials for the purpose of reducing crime and improving public safety.
7. Consideration of request to continue the City's self-insured dental program administered by Dental Decisions and at the rates proposed in the staff report. If approved, sufficient funding is available. (Administrative Services Director) (See Backup) Synopsis: Continuation of dental insurance coverage with no increase in rate.

10. Consideration of renewal of the Head Start Lease. (City Clerk) (See Backup) Synopsis: New lease combines two previous leases - no other change in agreement.
11. Consideration of request to utilize funds from the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund to purchase and install 2,400' of black vinyl fencing around the perimeter of Beal Memorial Cemetery in the amount of $19,800, and construction of a niche wall on the grounds of the Cemetery. If approved, staff would solicit bids for the niche wall project. (Recreation & Cultural Services Director) (See Backup) Synopsis: Fencing replacement to complete upgrade of the Cemetery; and few remaining niche spaces are available.
12. Consideration of appointments of two representatives to serve on the Canvassing Board. (City Clerk) (See Backup) Synopsis: Required by the Supervisor of Elections to monitor election day activities.
